EA did out how to replicate the fun of spell-casting and potion-making with all the Wii Remote and clever gestures while using DS's stylus; the complete process makes a smaller amount sense when working with a gamepad studded with buttons, though, although the next-gen versions have significantly better graphics. Previous Harry Potter games simply weren't great to try out - they concentrated too hard on exploring virtual recreations of Hogwarts with the tariff of the rest. The first two pastimes are wonderful fun but, sadly, the Quidditch is lame - it is often dumbed into precision-flying via a course delineated by stars (rather like Sega's game NiGHTS).
