Sadly, developing a load of fantastic animals to consider isn’t enough for your irritating, malcontent punters that roam around your otherwise lovely park. They moan there aren’t enough shops, you allow them shops, they purchase stuff then drop litter and complain that there’s an excessive amount of litter. People, eh? Luckily, there are paths of handling every one with their complaints, whether it be withtoilets and shops, extra trees, or higher giant statues of Jesus. You cant ever have sufficient of people.

You’ll also require staff. One can choose from various flavours, and conduct menial tasks like obtaining litter, feeding the animals and ensuring the trees don’t die of blight. That last one isn’t a joke. They can be easily moved around if you catch them doing bugger-all, although each member of staff has a set area in which they will tend to their duties. They have different levels of skill, along with their wage alters accordingly. I just managed to locate a litter-picker who had been so bad at his job he cost me nothing whatsoever to employ, which can be type of funny, sad, and offensive concurrently.

The video game features some pretty comprehensive landscaping tools, letting you make things a little more interesting by creating hills,lakes and cliffs, and so forth. This also has gameplay applications; for example, some animals like to swim, so you’d better dig them a pond or they will GET SAD and DIE, as well as being cosmetic. It’s certainly no worse than we’ve seen in the likes of, say, Spore, even though the landscaping can be fiddly at times.

Presentation-wise, the overall game actually does okay. There are tons of numerous types of animal inside the game, and they’re mostly pretty fun to observe.
