Mount and Blade: Warband is a good game. It’s fantastic. It’s addictive. I wish to take a day from work to just play it. Within the past few nights, I forcefully was required to to stop myself from playing and hit the sack sometime before 3:00 AM. (Don’t tell my partner. She’d kill me if she knew what time I was coming to bed. I’ve used the excuse “Oh, I’m just coming back from the bathroom” when she catches me.) I foresee additional near-sleepless nights in the future because of this game, too. But that doesn’t mean that every PC gamer that’s vaguely considering this title should drop what they’re doing and be used up and buy it.

In the beginning appearance, many gamers might confuse Mount & Blade: Warband using a poor man’s Oblivion orMorrowind. Some gamers have talked about if it was just like the Total War series. To those iquiries, I can only reply, “yea, it’s kinda like that… but not really.” As the leveling experience is comparable to Oblivion-the more you use a skill, the faster it increases-and tactically, it is usually very similar to Total War games, the closest game I can think of to spell it out Mount and Blade: Warband is Sid Meier’s Pirates!.
