Left 4 Dead gave the look of a near perfect game to me, cheap I love it so damn much helps to make the comparatively sudden arrival of the company's sequel an incredibly try to sell you. Nothing is quite like a good old fashioned zombie apocalypse to just make a disparate gang of strangers to function together for his or her common survival, and between that premise plus some really clever design, Left 4 Dead succeeded in coaxing that big bag of assholes we call the world wide web into cooperating without one ever feeling forced. It wasn't without its occasional flaws, however. A brief list of weapons and quite often available ammo piles meant we'd have a tendency to select a popular weapon and adhere to it. Survivors that knew enough to bunch close together stood a much greater chance at survival, along with their infected antagonists would have trouble ending it the formation. Worse, choke points like long hallways became reliable safe havens for just about any well-coordinated team. It didn't offer too unfair an advantage, but it did tend to make things predictable.
