Full Mojo Rampage Download PC Review
Full Mojo Rampage adheres towards the expected conventions of the rogue-like; perma-death, randomly generated levels, random item drops and quantities of difficulty. Just like comparable games including Rogue’s Legacy, luck also factors heavily into whether you can expect to complete your existing play through; obtaining the ‘Head in the King’ relic for instance, which provides you chunks of health back upon killing enemies, will usually minimize the difficulty considerably by offering enough sustain to proceed on the end of your games campaign.

With considerably different visual design and aesthetic, though full Mojo Rampage plays most comparably to Binding of Isaac. But while Isaac limits itself to single screens of enemies and environmental hazards as being a design choice, Mojo presents larger (although still randomised) open dungeons, graveyards and swamps, similar to Diablo II’s randomised game areas. Sometimes Mojo seems like a bullet-hell shooter inside of the framework of the rogue-like RPG, multiple ranged and melee enemies all charging the ball player character, testing what you can do to both dodge and shoot concurrently. Moving together with the WASD keys and aiming using the mouse from an isometric perspective, the ball player is given the job of moving through each ‘mission’ to seal portals and defeat bosses to advance. Besides the shoot-em-up core gameplay is definitely the persistent character development; although each play through is cut short with a single death, experience and gold is carried through to another campaign. Levelling up enables you to level a selection of stats includingdamage and health, attack speed and movement speed, while gold and medals might be spent to unlock both cosmetic upgrades by means of masks, and voodoo pins that further enhance the stats of the character. This adds an aspect of grind on the games progression, and minimises the luck aspect which may turn players from rogue-like games.

Even though progression enables you to alleviate a few of the initial difficulty, the video game presents a hard challenge, consistent with its peers in the genre. Some enemies simply insta-killed me in the earlier stages of the game, before levelling up health. If they plan to get anywhere, but as is the case with most rogue-likes, Mojo demands an element of perseverance and error and trial from its players. I was unable to get a game as the servers were empty at time of writing, although the game also features both online co and deathmatch-op modes.

This game plays well, as well as its responsive and tight controls transform it into a fun game to buy to get a quick twenty minute run through of your game’s campaign. Mojo is a real charming, stylistically it both looks and is like it might have been created by a pre-Microsoft era Rare, possibly underneath the direction of any certain Tim Burton. Even the application of Voodoo for flavour and aesthetic is completed by using a cheeky experience of self-awareness.
