Most games would find it difficult to keep going such a long time without radical changes, but Worms constantly manages to get away with it. As Worms 3D proved, it isn’t a template that advantages from too much messing around, and yes it never takes long to obtain hooked in the fun of blowing off enemies which has a perfectly arced bazooka shell, or roping onto a cliff and giving an enemy’s last worm a humiliating poke to the nearest ocean. Reloaded’s new features build on that as opposed to reinventing it, offering additional features like vertical maps, fighting atop open-air forts, as well as a dull Ninja Rope race mode.Hardcore purists will chafe at specific balancing changes, notably the experience and physics of the Ninja Rope and just getting four worms per team. For anyone else, the biggest shift may be the addition of more defensive weapons: Sentry Guns to help you lock down areas of the map, and Electromagnets that deflect incoming attacks. These turn Worms right into a slightly more tactical game, but somewhat spoil the purity of simply trading shots. If you'd prefer them, or the other, sillier new weapons, hurrah. If not, at least you are able to switch them off inside the comprehensive but oddly clunky ruleset editor
